I fully agree with Andrew. I also think it’s a pointless article.

David, you are also mentioning the principles of the Agile Manifesto. Why don’t you discuss the very first principle as well?

It says: “Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.”

In Scrum, for instance, the Product Backlog should be prioritized by value. The Sprint Review is a dedicated event (and feedback look) to determine if the team delivered value and if corrections are needed to deliver value in the future. At best, the Sprint Review should be done with the customer and end-users. There is also a term for that: value-driven development (VDD). You learn this in every scrum master and scrum product owner training. And all of this is reflected in the first principle of the Manifesto for Agile Software Development.

In short: there’s no need for your manifesto. Instead, I think your manifesto is dangerous since it just creates meaningless management buzz.
